How long does it take to receive my results?

Routine scans typically take about 2-5 working days, depending on the study. If your examination is urgent, please inform our team, and they will prioritize your results.

 

Are all my scans Bulk-Billed?

At Rockingham Radiology, most services are Bulk-Billed. Please reach out to our team to confirm any out-of-pocket costs for specific procedures when you make your booking.

 

Are the scans covered by Private Health insurance?

Please reach out to your Private Health insurance provider to confirm coverage for your scans and procedures. After your scan, we will provide you with an invoice, which you can then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

 

Do you accept all referral forms?

Yes, Rockingham Radiology accepts all medical imaging referral forms.

 

Can I get a scan or procedure without a referral?

A valid referral form is required for all services provided at Rockingham Radiology.

 

How long do I have to use my referral?

If your referral form includes more than one service or has already been used, please speak to our team regarding the validity of the form.

 

Do I need to make an appointment, or I can walk-in?

We offer walk-in services for X-rays and Non-contrast CT Scan studies. All the Ultrasound studies and CT contrast and Intervention studies booking is required. Same day or next day bookings are available. Please note, there may be a short wait for walk-in services.


Can I speak to the Radiologist about my images?

Your results will be sent directly to your GP. You will need to speak to your GP to access these results. However, we can provide you with a copy of your imaging.

 

Can I get the report sent to another doctor?

Yes, we can send your report to another doctor. Please provide us with the details of the doctor you would like the report sent to, and we will ensure it is forwarded accordingly.

 

What is the standard length of an appointment?

The duration of your procedure depends on the type of scan required. Our team will inform you of the approximate time when you make your booking.

 

I have been told to fast before my appointment, what does this mean?

For some scans and procedures, you will need to fast for a specified period before your appointment. This means abstaining from all food, water, and other drinks during that time. When you book your appointment, our team will confirm these requirements with you, including any details related to existing medications or diabetes.
